37 year-olds to retire at 68

New pension rules are showing a gradual extension of working lives by increasing the age at which the state pension can be received. This makes more difference for men than for women because from 2020, both men and women’s state pension age will be 66. This will then increase to 67 between 2026 and 2028, and then it will be linked to life expectancy after that. This means that if you were born in 1978, you won’t be able to draw your pension until 2046!
